PHILO 1 (first and only homework)

WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION IN LIFE?

Why did God created me? What am I doing in His Land of Creations? What is my purpose in life? These same set of questions kept on bothering me since I was a child. Questions that need answers. Queries that need solutions.

We are all aware of the fact that God created everything on balance nature. Either living or non-living things have their own functions. Sun, moon and stars are needed to separate light from darkness. The sky is for the division of water above and below it. Bodies of water are for the fish and other aquatic animals, for them to live. The land is the habitat of many terrestrial animals and even humans. Animals can be a source of food and clothing. Trees are specially made as means of food, shelter and clothing. Food is essential for human life. Shelter is necessary for us to be secured enough in any catastrophe. Clothes are created for us to have protection under the heat of the sun and the cold weather. But how about the “crowning glory” of His creations? How about us? How about me? Why do I need to live? Am I significant to God? If so, what role do I need to portray in His own land?

Generally speaking, human beings are created by the Supreme Almighty to rule over His creations. It’s our responsibility to take good care of everything and bring it under our control. But in reality, I just want to know whether I was going to be like the sun, the sky, the trees or the animals that can give life to many living things. In such way, I am wondering whether I would be a scientist who will invent a remedy for cancer or a politician who is just fond of corruption and coercion. What am I going to be like in the future? It’s a tough but exciting question, right? Well, I’m looking forward to be a worthy and genuine citizen of this country. Just like the creatures of God that can give life.
